Hello! My name is Tyler Murset running for U.S. House District 3 in Utah against Celeste Maloy.

I was born in Provo, grew up in Hurricane, and currently live in St. George. I graduated high school in 1997 and then served a Spanish-speaking mission in Southern California for two years. After my mission, I graduated from Dixie State College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I later received my MBA from Western Governors University.

I married my lovely wife, Monica, in 2004, and we have three great kids who make me proud every day. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked in our local school district in purchasing, including the last nine years as the Warehouse Manager.

I’ll get to the point.

Our representatives (including Celeste Maloy, whom I’m running against) do not represent us. Our own supposedly Republican representatives pass laws that bypass our caucus system (SB54) and allow outside interests to redraw district boundaries (Prop. 4 with new lines selected unconstitutionally by a judge), giving Democrats a potential U.S. House seat with no real opposition from our state representatives.

What about our voting systems and voter ID? Don’t get me started.

I feel backstabbed. I feel unheard. Don’t you?

Whose side are these people on? Not ours. That’s for sure.

For this reason I’ve created VotingAct1. An app that allows U.S. citizens who are registered voters to vote on bills in Congress. I pledge to vote with the majority of you in my district on those bills.

The app authenticates users via valid ID, a selfie, and voter registration, all of which must correlate.

The app then pulls in all the bills from Congress daily and allow authenticated users to debate and ultimately vote on them using a double-blind, encrypted system.

Votes are publicly viewable but anonymized. Not even the app’s administrators know how you vote—only that you voted. You can track your own vote and verify that it was counted correctly.

Vote tallies are directly compared to how representatives vote, so you can instantly see when they go rogue.

That won’t happen with me. I will vote with you.

How did we get a water cartel in Utah?

Why are water meters, fire hydrants, and watershed allowed to be weaponized. No water for you if Salt Lake City does not like you, your politics, your Olympic sports venues, you land use.

We don't allow gas meters and power meters to be used as weapons. Why are water meters?

Why is 50% consumptive water $50,000 an acre-foot in Utah and 100% consumptive water is $8,600 an acre-foot in Las Vegas?

Why is a 101 gallon rain barrel holding 10 cents worth of required to be registered in Utah? Utah gets 22 Trillion gallons of water.

Why can I plant a tree evaporating 50 gallons of water a day with no Water Right, but I need an expensive Water Right to evaporate 5 quarts of water a day?

Why have we let our water storage per person drop 50%?

Why do we pay farmers not to grow food to save water for California which tore down 100 dams and reservoirs?

Utah has similar water and climate issues as Las Vegas and Jerusalem which use their water twice. Why isn't Utah using its water twice. First indoors. Then captured at the treatment plant for outdoor use.

Why did we give taxing authority to water districts to build water treatment plants for lawn watering?

Why do we have subdivisions with no residential water meters?

The Forest Service says we have 7.6 million trees in Utah forests. Plus we have 300 -400 million more trees in our cities.

Do the math - 8 billion x 5.5 gallons per day x 365 days - rough numbers. What do you get? 80% of Utah's water.

Salt Lake City leaks 5.3 billion gallons of water from its old water lines. Some over 100 years old. Why should a person get a $500 ticket for excessive lawn watering?

Why don't we have water line replacement codes for cities? Do water lines last 250 years? That's the replacement rate of Salt Lake City.

Shorter showers, less flushing, etc. does nothing for the Great Salt Lake. Why is this nonsense promoted?

If all of Salt Lake City's water customers used no water, that would be 4 days of Great Salt Lake evaporation.

All of Utah's lawns use 0.25% of Utah's water. Why are we paying $130,000 an acre to get rid of family lawns?

Utah pays a little as $7,000 to rip an acre of crops out, but a lawn warrants $130,000 an acre. Where's the science in that?

On and on Utah's water nonsense goes.

We've been played on water.

It’s imperative that we revert to STANDARD, not Daylight time, for two reasons, one of which you may have never considered.

You know the first: solar noon is closest to 12 o’clock all year. That means an equal number of hours before and after noon each day.

This also means earlier sunrises which are significantly better for establishing a healthy circadian rhythm.

The second reason is that nearly ONE THIRD of US counties are in the wrong timezone.

A significant swath of the country isn’t only an artificial hour ahead because of daylight time… but TWO HOURS ahead of true solar time.

Year-round daylight time, especially without recalibrating time zones, would establish this error permanently, affecting millions of Americans.

We should be letting the Sun dictate the day the way God made it. Arbitrary, artificial tampering would be worse for us all.

Fix the time zones and affix standard time.

You handle the concerns with transparency and anonymous but identifiable voting results. As an example, you show x number of delegates who arrived and signed in at a convention. Only they can vote. You hold the vote electronically. Their vote is recorded and identifiable by the person. You compare who was supposed to vote vs who did publicly. You can anonymize the actual yes/no vote or not depending on the county policy. Votes are done in minutes vs. hours and you can show definitively that there was no funny business. No black box. No questions because they line up and people can track their own votes.

In Washington Co. we used a Google form to vote. We scanned a QR code which took us to the ballot. From there we had to fill out our name and voter ID number. I didn't hear one complaint besides that it took a long time to adjudicate ballots that had misspellings or the voter ID number that didn't match the name. No one questioned the results as far as I know.

✅Justice Diana Hagen decided cases in favor of her boyfriend.
✅Former UVU speaker, Sharon McMahon, is a non-partisan fraud.
✅Astrid Tuminez lies and is a terrible president.
✅Nate Blouin remains a degenerate, toxic, perverted, religious bigot and his Dem colleagues hate him too.
✅Gov Cox has checked out and is MIA on his lame duck tour.
✅Establishment GOP donors put a coordinated political hit on Trevor Lee and want him gone.
✅Our local media remains incompetent and in the tank for Democrats.
✅Blake Moore still has not taken responsibility for Prop 4, so he needs to be held accountable and voted OUT!

What did I miss? And next week we get to do it all again!

A representative government should represent the people. Lobbyists are in the ear of our reps daily influencing them. We are not. The political machine of the left has control of most of the institutions and one of the few ways I see out of our problems is if Republicans organize better and make our voices heard. I'm proposing no change to the Constitution just a shift of who is influencing the representatives via our 1st amendment right to petition the government.
