@MenInBlazers Balogun gets to play in the biggest game of his life and USMNT gets their best goal scorer for THE BIGGEST GAME OF THEIR LIVES!!!
How exactly are there no winners?
@pointmadebball The context of the game makes these clips way worse. It was clockwork every time the Spurs had momentum, you could see OKC winding up for a grift. Additionally, the JWill and McCain grifts were what put OKC in the early bonus in that disgusting 2nd quarter. But it was all night.
@NateDuncanNBA@DonHarris4 Really hope Don responds to this. The way it’s worded and his typical reporting style makes me assume the foul and lead up WAS part of the ruling.
Could be a slippery slope, but glad it was considered here. Also a bit of an admission by the league their refs didn’t have control.
@NateDuncanNBA They’ve clearly tried with varying degrees of success (I.e. 2025 Pacers, Pistons). The strategy mostly works, except all of these high forced turnover teams also have the highest foul rates. With one exception, OKC.
@JaredWeissNBA Lazy analysis, we responded fine to the physicality. Thought we got to our spots better last night than in some of the Portland games. Did not like Wemby’s approach offensively to start the game and it trickled down to the team going iso heavy. But, Fox and Wemby were just cold.
@JaredWeissNBA I really would like to understand the logic behind sitting both Kornet and Wemby. Obviously a lot to play out over the next month, but letting OKC get the winner of LAL and Houston instead of Denver feels like a mistake.
@MoDakhil_NBA@tomhaberstroh Do you have any insight into why teams prefer to DNP-Rest their stars instead of just playing them less minutes? Maybe playing 29-30 mins instead of 35-36 mins is just more sustainable in the pace and space era?
@_JasonLT It’s been a winning formula all year. We get in trouble when it devolves into Wemby isos. Castle and Fox initiating offense and Wemby as a finisher is when we’re at our best. Fox is not within the top 5 concerns.
@NateSilver538 Been begging for a system like this! Did you consider the players being able to pick their team in the event of a tie? Would give some power to the top players with max bids, and promote teams having a well run organization.
@HPbasketball@C2_Cooper Well the fact they fined them $100k as a consequence suggests to me they were telling the team he should’ve been medicated and played in the game
@KevinOConnor@nametakenffss Also, it’s just a really lame game to play 1/2 year into rookie season. So short sighted, and the reality is it’s more likely there’s a player drafted #3-60 that’s going to be better than #2 pick. Just a lame way to evaluate the draft by KOC, in order to prove his spurs takes.
@KevinOConnor@nametakenffss For Harper’s career idk how you can think you’re spot on for thinking he’d be better off somewhere else. He’s going to get to play with Wemby for the next decade+. He’s also the ideal fit for Wemby and has shown some insane flashes. So, Spurs def wouldn’t change a thing.
@NateDuncanNBA@DannyLeroux What if we’re talking about the wrong Bucks PF for the Spurs? Bobby Portis I think would be an ideal fit. As long as we keep the 3 guards and want to maintain roster depth the PF position can’t be a large salary. Bobby P brings spacing, size, and Wemby bodyguard.
@Sam_Vecenie Caruso acquired by trading Giddey who was the result of a 22 win season. We don’t need to act like they didn’t tank, just because they also had the best trade in nba history.
