I make code do wild things, or does the code make me do wild things?

@msigaming I'd choose the 32 inch one, cuz I don't have a big enough table for the 34 inch

[Tym154 @tym154]

Noticed that some people write more work emails than they actually work.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Coding the backup system first before running the part which can corrupt something.
Should have thought of it earlier.

[Tym154 @tym154]

pip saved me so much time.
I don't know what i would do without it.

[Tym154 @tym154]

If i see one more em dash in an email.

Every day I use AI, I doubt it could ever replace me.
Elementary tasks? Sure.
Something complex? Nah.
It’s a great tool, but I don’t believe in any “replacement.”

Building something complex takes a bit more than just having billions of parameters.

@manudecegliee I started with Qt right, and I really like it.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Working on something for two days without it working is kinda demotivating.

Well, it has to be done, so the third day will hopefully be the charm.

[Tym154 @tym154]

@de_mawo Also, but writing clean code is also about the consistency of the code. Following naming conventions, spacing etc..

[Tym154 @tym154]

Having a proper code structure is just so satisfying.

I actually know where everything is.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Funny how learning more just makes you realize how little you actually know.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Okay, everything is backed up. Now i can test on my main computer.

Because i can't test on anything but my main computer.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Making a product that i will actually use is the best thing i could have done.

[Tym154 @tym154]

was helping my dad and someone called into the radio complaining about misinformation, host goes “sorry, that’s just what AI gave me.”
world’s fcked.

[Tym154 @tym154]

@_michael_esch No thanks, I don't want a chonky chrome wrapper.

I use Qt.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Making a desktop app is actually a lot more fun than i expected.

Give it a try.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Cinnamon desktop is underrated.

[Tym154 @tym154]

How can anyone not build something.

[Tym154 @tym154]

Having a good project structure is so satisfying.

When there’s no structure, it’s frustrating just to navigate through.
