Building the next generation of American homes

[Type Five @typefive]

Coming soon to Berkeley, California.

[Tyler | Kenji Capital @KenjiCapital]

Really cool to see what's being built in my hometown of Berkeley.

I've had the opportunity to spend some time with @thingsinmotion and the @typefive crew over the past couple months, including walking several of their projects.

And I'm impressed.

Sleek, clean, modern design. Tons of natural light. Really thoughtful use of smaller spaces. Still using wood frame construction, but coupled with a modular design system for efficiency.

They're building everything from ADUs to single-family homes across Berkeley and the East Bay...

And maybe multifamily in the future 👀

It's been fun getting a closer look at how their projects come together. Excited to see what's next for these guys.

We're launching @infillworks today to help you discover infill opportunities in California. Go build.

It's time for California's housing boom.

Many recent laws have made building homes easier across the state, but only a few know how to use them.

We're launching @infillworks to make it simple for anyone to figure out how to add new housing to existing lots in the neighborhoods we love.

We built her an art studio and it became part of her work.

the @typefive home building operating system is officially patented, and it's an honest blueprint for anyone to create the housing company of the future

[Tim Thimmaiah @thingsinmotion]

one of the coolest parts of this is the intelligence layer we built to figure out the best regulatory approach that makes building your home financially feasible in California

access to the information on where, how, and what can be built is important to unlock more housing where people actually want to live
