Back in 2015, I discovered a blog full of stories acknowledging how hard life can be without denying that hope is still possible, and it felt like home to me.
Today I got to see my own words on that blog. Thanks so much, @TWLOHA, it's truly an honour.
Regardless if you’re improving, accomplishing, or growing—you deserve to know your efforts to stay alive, to be alive are something incredible. In “Survival Is Not a Small Thing,” Jessica reminds us all of this: https://t.co/ZKrn96bO2C.
I'm grateful for the good experiences I've had on Twitter but I've reached a point where I no longer want to post here. Thank you for understanding and take care 💙
I feel this. Deeply. You can't encourage people to be in community if you're not willing to build a community they can actually be a part of.
A good first step would be to acknowledge the value of online community. For many people, it's not an option—it's a necessity.
There’s a lot of talk about being “in community with others” from the leaders of marginalized communities, but very little actual inclusion of the disabled community.
"Last year, I learned that ducks poop every fifteen minutes and immediately thought of the writing life—with how often we deal with rejection, it sometimes feels like being a writer involves as much crap as being a duck."

Okay, yeah, yesterday’s game was awful, but did anyone else notice this little guy chilling in the Blue Jays bullpen? It appears as if they have an emotional support Squishmallow and I AM HERE FOR IT #BlueJays
@joynessthebrave I once had a dream there was a tornado coming through town, but it only sucked up bad dancers, so the way to stay safe was to go outside and dance and hope the tornado deemed you worthy to live. I don’t really understand my brain.
@chcknscratches Oh, it's actually that registered users can applaud up to 50 times on a single post, so you could technically have 2 viewers and 100 claps if both viewers clap the maximum number of times.
Being a sports fan is just living out that John Green quote about how you don’t get to choose if get hurt in this world, but you do have some say in who hurts you #BlueJays
Mental Health Awareness Month is the perfect time to stop ignoring the mental health of the disabled and chronically ill community.
Many lack access to care, especially those who are the most-marginalized.

I almost accidentally inserted a math equation into one of my poems today, but now I’m genuinely tempted to do it on purpose 🤔 What if that’s the thing that’s been missing from my poetry this whole time?
I wrote this poem in 2018, and I didn’t feel like it was good enough to send to a lit mag, but I still wanted to share it somewhere #amwriting

@chcknscratches I would buy one of the six copies 😤 But I don’t know why our subconscious minds insist on adding a twist instead of allowing us to enjoy publication in our dreams
I had a dream the other night that an editor accepted my work and then published it on the inside of a pumpkin??? Which…is better than nothing, I guess
