@AvidVolley@ak_klm_06@Lincoln_VB Yeah, makes sense. Playing for Conegliano is obviously super impressive but would need to involve a little bit more actual *playing* for me to want her at VNL lol.
I wonder if J. Gray is just fed up with USAV altogether and wants to be done with it.
@AvidVolley@ak_klm_06@Lincoln_VB Forgive me... We're talking about Jenna Gray, correct? I think shes phenomenal and would've loved to see her, but I've also seen some people online talking about wanting Jenna Ewert which threw me a little bit lol
@AvidVolley Do you think she's better all around than Poulter, Fairbanks, Miner, Hancock? I don't personally think she's outright better than any of those four, esp when considering upside. & I guess Carlini isn't in the convo anymore but I'm not sure Lloyd is better than her either.
@AvidVolley@Biykend I agree. And even if so, comparing a player to LeBron gives us essentially zero actual analysis or insight, besides that they're good lol.
Are we saying she's the all time leading scorer? That she's 40+ years old and near the end of her career? It's unclear what the point is
@AvidVolley@Biykend I agree it's a bad analogy and honestly accomplishes nothing. However, to this person's point, if the goal is to appeal to a broader sports audience, there's certainly no American athlete with more domestic or global name recognition than LeBron James.
@AvidVolley As far as actual gameplay, I'm highly unclear what TD actually brings to the table lol. I hate to be that blunt but I just do not see it. Her starting on a team that has Serena Gray, Sophie Fischer, Ifenna is insane. Also, will we ever see Haleigh Washington play again?
@AbbySchnable Jenna Potts - what a throwback! She was one of my first favorite players when I first started watching Pitt VB. Did she actually contribute in any meaningful way or was she mostly just a filler?
Also, did Smallwood play middle or right side?
@Tyler_Hawk True. I'm not surprised. And I'm sorta neutral on the idea to reduce capacity - I don't hate it. But I just wish they had done it differently
