“One day, we will have two big buildings in Abuja where we will put pictures of people—whether dead or alive—who have messed up this country so that their grandchildren will know their forefathers were part of Nigeria’s problems,”
~ Goodluck Jonathan says
Japa isn't the Nigerian dream. It's a coping mechanism.
The Nigerian dream is not hammer, unmerited favor, unexplainable cash flow, to be close to power or in power, to somehow be above Nigeria's problems.
Japa is even approached as having one leg in a second option not permanent
E.g. often in families the head of the household might stay back to continue chasing the "Nigerian dream" while their partner chases the fall back option. It's not a full commitment or natural desire to japa. It's a forced option.
Ermmm people can't reason that it could have first taken a few minutes to get the bill... then the bank app can take a minute too.
But why was this oversabi waitress behaviour something to laugh at?
I was getting food with a man. When we were done, he went to the loo & I asked the waitress for the bill. With shock and disbelief, she said “you’re paying???”
I nodded and started transferring but before I finished, he came back & gave her his card.
She said with relief, “Ehnehn, why will you pay?”
All of us burst out laughing. 😂😂
Your suya seller, market woman, keke driver. Together they drive 62% of Africa's economy. No major bank has properly designed a product for them. That gap is worth $331 billion.
Let me state this clearly. People have diff travel preferences and that’s okay. However, places we visit consist of people who actually live there. For them it is home. You are a visitor
If you don’t research about a place before you go, that’s on you. No need to disrespect it
@hello__caitlin I am firmly committed to the theory that hotels are purposefully eliminating bathroom privacy to force friends, adult family members, coworkers, etc. to pay for separate hotel rooms. Everything bad in the world can be directly traced to capitalism
Some reports suggested that nigerian oil marketers are importing Dangote petrol through the offshore ship-to-ship trading hub in Lome, Togo 🇹🇬, because structural pricing dynamics made it cheaper for marketers to source Dangote-refined products from Lome than to buy directly from the Lekki-based refinery.
Nigeria madddd! 🇳🇬🤣
Dangote is selling fuel for cheaper to Togo than it is to Nigeria.
Dangote cement is cheaper in Ghana than it is in Nigeria.
Nigeria provided the cheap USD, raw materials and policies that made these businesses possible.
Why are we getting the shorter end of the stick?
“Next of kin” has deceived a lot of people.
Your wife can have your ATM card, your phone password, and access to your bank app — but if the account is not legally hers, she may still be locked out when you’re gone.
Estate planning is not for rich people.
It is for responsible people.
Would your family be safe if everything stopped today?

Watch all the poverty merchants turn on her not because she wrong but "you even have money"
Wrong is wrong and we need to always agree on that for the country to improve.
