AI is turning still images into consistent 3D worlds.

In an early demo, @theworldlabs showed how its AI system can estimate the 3D geometry of a scene based on a single input image, then invent new content so you can turn around a full 360 degrees inside the scene.

This technology solves a major problem we have with generative AI: consistency. Most GenAI visual tools are based on predicting pixels, which means scenery can become unstable and change as you move the camera. This system instead generates 3D geometry, which stays consistent.
