LSWMO PARTNERS WITH LAWMA ON WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT EDUCATION.
The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) partners with LAWMA on its Education Program aimed to raise awareness and build knowledge on effective wastewater management among the public, students, and professionals. The programme highlights the importance of proper wastewater practices for public health and environmental sustainability.
This initiative has interns from the LAWMA Academy visiting the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) on July 30, 2025, to understudy the State’s approach to wastewater and faecal sludge management by visiting the agency's headquarters and municipal Sewage Treatment infrastructures.
Through its public education program, LSWMO continues to engage students, associations, and other stakeholders in the wastewater sector equipping them with practical skills and exposure to waste management systems in Lagos.

These uncultured human attitudes often leads to flooding, spread of gastrointestinal diseases such as cholera, dysentery and host of other diseases that threatens human existence. This campaign is therefore to send a staunch warning to desist from such acts.
As part of its mandate to effectively manage wastewater, protect the underground water and safeguards public health, the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office LSWMO is currently undertaking community sensitization and awareness campaign in Lagos Island.
