If I were to rank in order of importance the designations that could be applied to me, I would say: First, I am a child of God—a son of God—then a son of the covenant, then a disciple of Jesus Christ and a devoted member of His restored Church.
“I invite all, including those not of our faith, to fast and pray on Good Friday, April 10, that the present pandemic may be controlled, caregivers be protected, the economy strengthened, and life normalized.” @NelsonRussellM#HearHim#GeneralConference

Being sad, disappointed, angry, or discouraged with life is not a sign you lack faith in God. Faithfulness doesn’t require you to pretend you don’t feel human emotion. Faithfulness invites you to turn to the One who understands all human emotion.
We all know quick fixes for painful trials don’t exist. However, we can trust in a loving God who has told us that no pain, heartache, or suffering is permanent.
Even the darkest night will end and the sun (son) will rise.
I invite us to remember that perhaps the most repeated line in all of scripture is “It came to pass.” Painful days do pass. It might seem that they won’t, but they do. No regret is forever. No disappointment is fatal or final. No mistake is beyond remedy.
Choose Christ. Love Him and keep His commandments. He will give you the power and strength to do that. You will not be tempted beyond your ability to withstand.
