Seaweed is an ecological resource we value and use responsibly, in order to respect symbiotic relationships within the natural environment. At Tŷ Syml, we quantify our resource use, to ensure that we are accountable for every ecological resource we rely upon. #CircularEconomy
Our work is largely influenced by the beautiful biophysical environment in Pembrokeshire. After seeing the impact of plastic waste here, we founded Tŷ Syml!
Tŷ Syml aims to pave the way for sustainable and responsible design, whilst supporting traditional skills in Wales.
We hope everyone has had a great week!
Here at our studio in Pembrokeshire, we spent this past week making more of our SILO pendant lights.
The next step in making our SILO lights involves letting the Mycelium grow for up to 5 days between the waste substrate! #circulardesign
Here at the studio, we spent St David's Day printing new moulds for our pendant lights🌷🏴
We recycle our PLA into new filament to reprint future moulds. In the meantime, we are also researching new materials to print our moulds in!
