Leaving people alone is the clearest way to show you’re not desperate for their presence. If someone wants to be in your life, let them choose it freely. You don’t have to chase, convince or force anyone to stay.
Nah. You shouldn’t have to choose between being attracted to somebody and being treated well. The goal is finding someone who checks both boxes.
Now, being open to someone who may not fit every tiny preference is different from forcing yourself to date somebody you’re genuinely not attracted to. Attraction matters, but so do consistency, effort, respect, and feeling desired. Wanting all of that isn’t asking for too much.
We're reaching a point where Americans aren't choosing between wants anymore.
They're choosing between NEEDS.
Groceries or the electric bill.
Car repair or the dentist.
Daycare or saving for retirement.
Medicine or putting another balance on the credit card.
That's not "cutting back."
Cutting back is skipping the vacation.
This is deciding which basic part of your life gets neglected this month.
And major retailers are now openly warning that consumers are making choices between necessities.
Maybe that's the economic indicator Washington should be talking about.
Because when necessities start competing with each other, the budget is already broken
79% of Americans now wonder how other people can afford to have families.
That's an insane sentence.
Having kids used to be a normal part of becoming an adult.
Now people look at a family with three children the same way they look at someone driving a Ferrari.
“How the hell are they affording that?”
House.
Daycare.
Groceries.
Healthcare.
School.
Activities.
We somehow turned starting a family into a luxury purchase.
And then wonder why people aren't having kids
