Tyler became world famous as the Co-Founder, lead Vocalist & primary creative force of the chart-topping, history-making, hugely successful Grammy-winning duo, #TwentyOnePilots! He is inspiring & culturally impactful, and since forming the band in 2009, has propelled it to global stardom through innovative genre-blending, including rap, rock, pop & electronic, and themes of mental health, faith, and identity! He has recorded 9 albums, including 8 with Twenty One Pilots and 1 Solo Album. As a member of the Band, he has won 1 Grammy Award out of 6 nominations!

Tyler is American and a quarter Lebanese through his father! As a senior at Worthington Christian High School (2007–2008), Tyler was a High school basketball standout, playing point guard on the varsity team, and helping them secure 2nd place in the Ohio Division IV state tournament in 2008! Future TØP bassist #NickThomas was a teammate, and they even performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" at games together. Tyler self-produced his first album, 'No Phun Intended', in his basement, which featured 11 tracks including "Taken by Sleep" and "Blasphemy", showcasing his raw songwriting and multi-instrumental skills on the piano, ukulele & bass! Some songs were later reworked for TØP releases, marking his early DIY ethos! Tyler co-founded TØP in 2009, with Thomas on bass and #ChrisSalih on drums, in Columbus, Ohio. After their 2011 debut, Tyler recruited #JoshDun, forming the core duo. In 2009 they released their self-titled debut, 'Twenty One Pilots', and 'Regional at Best' in 2011, building a grassroots fanbase with Ohio tours and acrobatic live shows. In 2012 they signed a deal with Fueled by Ramen (Warner Music), which led to their mainstream breakthrough with 'Blurryface' (2015) which was a huge success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the first album by a group without prior charting singles to achieve this. The smash hit single "Stressed Out" hit No. 2 on the Hot 100, while "Ride" reached No. 5 and "Heathens" No. 1 on Alternative Songs, drawing over 6 Billion streams and earning platinum certifications and MTV Video Music Awards!

Tyler has written and produced 8 TØP albums, including Vessel (2013), 'Trench' (2018), 'Scaled and Icy' (2021) which reached N°3 in the UK & US, and 'Clancy' (2024), a big critical and commercial success, topping album charts in Australia, Germany and Scotland, and reaching N°2 in the UK, N°3 in the US, and top 5 in several other countries. Their 8th Album 'Breach' was released on September 12, 2025, written and co-produced by Tyler, and is a huge critical and commercial success, having debuted at N°1 on the Billboard 200 with 200,000 album-equivalent units, 40.68M on-demand streams and 169,000 pure sales! It also debuted at N°1 on the US Album Sales chart! 'Breach' marked the group's 2nd Billboard 200 N°1 album, after 'Blurryface', and scored the biggest opening week of their career, besting 'Trench'. 'Breach' scored the largest debut for any rock album on the Billboard 200 since Tool's 'Fear Inoculum' in 2019, and had the largest vinyl opening sales week for a rock album since US tracking began in 1991. All 13 tracks from 'Breach' charted in the top 40 of the US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart! 'Breach' debuted at N°1 in Croatia, Hungary, the Netherlands & Scotland, and #2 in Australia, Austria & Germany, #3 in Belgium, Canada, Italy, Poland & Switzerland, #4 in the Czech Republic, Ireland, New Zealand, Portugal & the UK and #5 in France!

Twenty One Pilots has headlined major tours including 'The Emotional Roadshow' (2016–2017) and 'Takeøver Tour' (2019) which both sold out arenas worldwide. The 'Clancy World Tour' which kicked off in August 2024, has drawn massive crowds, and broken records, with Tyler performing high-energy feats like backflips off drum risers!

Twenty One Pilots have been honoured with multiple accolades including 5 Grammy nominations and one Grammy Award for 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' in 2017! They have won 8 Billboard Music Awards including Top Rock Artist & Album for 'Blurryface' in 2016, Top Duo Group, Top Rock Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Rock Song for "Heathens" & a Billboard Chart Achievement in 2017, and Top Rock Album for 'Scaled and Icy' in 2022; 5 American Music Awards including 'Favourite Pop/Rock Duo/Group' in 2016, 'Favourite Alternative Rock Artist' in 2016 & 2020, and 'Favourite Rock Artist' and Rock Album in 2025 for 'Clancy!; 2 MTV Video Music Awards for 'Best Rock Video of the Year' in 2016 for "Heathens" and the same Award in 2017 for "Heavydirtysoul"; 2 MTV Europe Music Awards for 'Best Alernative' & Best Live Act' in 2016; 4 BMI Awards, 10 iHeartRadio Music Awards, 2 Kerrang! Tyler is also a talented Actor, and starred in the mockumentary 'The (moderately inspiring tale of the) Longboard Rodeo Tango' in 2011.

Tyler advocates for mental health via TØP's lyrics like on "Blurryface" and has contributed to soundtracks like Suicide Squad ("Heathens") and appeared in videos for mental health awareness. As a practicing Christian, he weaves faith into songs like "Trees" and "Goner." His net worth was estimated at $16 million in 2023, and he has funded many fan initiatives with his personal earnings!

Tyler's feats extend beyond metrics! He's built a movement, with TØP's honest vulnerability resonating globally, saving lives through fan stories shared online. As of late 2025, with 'Clancy' hitting No. 1 and tours extending into 2026, his momentum shows no signs of slowing.
