@plalor Please make sure you get him to directly address the Bairstow stumping of Patel. That’s the one that simply can’t be justified in the same breath as condemning Carey’s stumping.
"It's very very smart from Jonny Bairstow"
"Brilliant work by Jonny Bairstow, a wicket out of absolutely nothing there"
"a lot of credit to Jonny Bairstow for realizing the moment"

@markbutcher72 You’re not going to respond to this are you @Paulnico199. It’s a shame and frustrating because I really want to hear what you have to say…
@jamiecweir I agree that JB’s attempt to stump Marnus is completely different. But can you please address the comparison with Foakes stumping Balbarnie? (And please don’t say it was part of the shot because you’re switched on enough to see that it wasn’t.)
@ddeanetheology@izzywestbury After the shot he is balanced and genuinely pauses and looks at the ball, presuming it dead in Foakes’ gloves, before turning back and shifting his weight to start the process of standing back up, which is when he lifts his foot. How can you interpret this as part of the shot?
@SteveSwallow1@izzywestbury “Part of a cricket shot”. Clearly tells me you’re a runner and not a cricketer before even looking at your profile.
Balbirnie is obviously shifting his weight to simply stand back up after the shot. So contextually almost identical to Bairstow - how can you not see that?
@acaseofthegolf1 “It was clear that some patrons wanted to see him wobble. But most are satisfied to watch him hold firm, stand proudly in front of us and take a green jacket off…ahem, I beg your pardon friends…put a green jacket on.”
