Discharged after 5 days in a side room. No blood transfusions (St Thomas’s said I needed them every other day). Saw my oncologist once. Told plan starts next week, but it’s the week after. Home it is. Let’s hope no seizure🤞🏽Shambles.

I was bleeding internally at WHH, Ashford. Haemoglobin: 31. Instead of ICU care, I was told I wouldn’t be taken because I hadn’t accepted chemo. Moved to palliative care instead, put on a pathway to die. Discriminated against for my choices @NHSEngland @NHSuk Is this acceptable?

If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. Patients’ rights and choices must be respected, and care should never be conditional on accepting specific treatments. @NHSEngland @NHSuk

Fire in the ward this morning… evacuated out, only moved back 7 hours later. You couldn’t make it up. #MaidstoneHospital #CancerPatient

I spent days in a side ward at Maidstone Hospital. My family contacted the oncologist's secretary to check my status/the plan. They were unaware of my return but relayed the information. Later I saw my oncologist, possibly due to the fire or their awareness of my return.
