I get HUNDREDS of messages like this.
โCan you send me $500?โ
โI need $1,000 or Iโm getting evicted.โ
โI lost my whole check.โ
โCan you help me get it back?โ
And whenever I ask for proof, 9 times outta 10 the story disappears.
But this ainโt even about exposing anybody. This is about something way bigger:
SPORTS BETTING HAS SOME OF YโALL IN A HEADLOCK.
Betting is a HOBBY. Entertainment. Something you do for FUN with money you can afford to lose.
It is NOT a financial plan.
It is NOT your emergency fund.
It is NOT how you pay rent.
It is NOT how you turn your last $300 into $1,000 before Friday.
Please build a FOUNDATION for your life first.
Get your career going. Handle your bills. Build some savings. Learn how money works. Get yourself to a point where losing a bet doesnโt change what youโre eating tonight or whether your lights stay on.
THEN if you wanna throw a few hundred on some games because you enjoy it? Cool.
But betting your whole check because you think youโre gonna double or triple it is not discipline. Chasing yesterdayโs losses with todayโs bill money is not discipline. Borrowing money to gamble is not discipline.
And please understand this when you tail me:
I DO NOT WANT YOUR LAST DOLLAR.
I don't want anybody looking at a ULX ticket thinking this is their way out of a financial situation. No pick, capper, system, model or โlockโ can promise you that.
Tail responsibly. Bet within YOUR means. Take legs off. Lower your unit size. PASS on a day if the money isn't there.
The goal should be to enjoy this shit without sports betting controlling your life.
Your life should finance your betting hobby.
Your betting hobby should NEVER have to finance your life.
Please be responsible. ๐ค
