My RSP protocols bring all the boys to the yard
Cuz Iโm like
Theyโre better than yours
Damn right
Theyโre better than yours
I could teach you
But Iโd have to charge

Delighted to report that, after two years of planning, discussions, and surveying, the global quantum needs assessment report is online!

Thank you to all who helped make this happen ๐๐๐
Fun fact: this paper started when I tried the problem myself, found an (incorrect) no-go argument, and then was shown to be wrong by the aforementioned students! Which I feel is an honest representation of how science *actually* works ๐
My first paper where I supervised the students is on the arXiV ๐ฅน outside of my quantum-ed paper, this is my very first non-first author paper and I am quite proud of it! Go check it out when you can ๐ https://t.co/W82bRW2OKp
This survey is the culmination of a lot of peopleโs work, and has the potential to help quantum scientists around the globe! Please help us get the word out :-)
๐ข Take the Global Quantum Needs Assessment Survey
Letโs shape the next 100 years of quantum science!

@PRX_Quantum@NSFCIQC Man, everyone wants to simulate closed systems on open systems. And these folks want to simulate open systems on closed systems. I was hopeful that, when I read the headline, someone had finally come to their senses and wanted to simulate open systems on an open system!
A note on our theme: inspired by queer pride month, weโre exploring what it means to be proud to be part of the quantum ecosystem! This is of course part of my nefarious plan to make quantum science a queer discipline (*evil cackle*), stay tuned for more!
Delighted to announce Diversity in Quantum (https://t.co/bj41KhkM9y)โs next summitโProut to be in Quantum! Join us June 13th at 9am PST / 6pm CET for talks, a career info, and more! Save the date, spread the word, and hope to see you there!

Ever wondered how it is to achieve vBQC using a measurement based client and an ion trap based server? Wonder no more! Check out this preprint, hopefully the first of a series on client-server-interactions as part of my work with @eu_qia https://t.co/9lWEsVO3e1
Our paper in PRA just came out! ๐ฅณ Delighted to de-hype NISQ computation, do some solid quantum optics, and develop some of my own ideas about the nature of the quantum to classical transition ๐ฅฐ and got to work with some truly wonderful people too! Enjoy!https://t.co/bvVXl8XOfK
@skdh Is this crazy? I kinda thought that capitalism was an excellent system for exploring an infinite resource-space, but that it rapidly runs into issues in a finite resource-space. I donโt think saying capitalism is bad is crazy, itโs honesty regarding the boundary effects ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
2. I said at the weekly group meeting that I did some work over vacation, and many people booed! As an American freshly in Europe, I have so so much (un)learning to do! ๐ฅฒ
