Americans will never understand that Football never has been or ever will be about the viewership numbers or the money generated. The American influence has ruined the beautiful game. We need UEFA to remove association with FIFA or we need a totally new governing body.

Factually UEFA is the biggest government body in football. It’s not even close. If UEFA removed all association with FIFA European football would continue to grow, FIFA would not.

And no it wasn’t 1600 matches with the same team. There was hundreds of great cheap beats in different leagues. Packs were rare. It was a proper grind.
