Tzu Chi Academy holds a Mandarin Conversation Class Designed for Adults. Small interactive classes focused on real-life conversation, Learn Chinese culture while having fun. Perfect for work, travel, and making new friends. Class locations: Van/BBY/Coq/SRY. Start in mid-January.
On 11/8. 24 volunteers of Richmond service district of @tzuchicanada ran winter gift program at Richmond Salvation Army shelter from 10:30 - 12:30pm. 32 residents enjoyed hot vegetarian lunch box & received a gift bag. Among them, more than 22 persons also received free haircut
zu Chi Foundation Canada has built a 100-bed community garden at the corner of W.65th AVE. & Cambie ST. in Vancouver. The garden is open to the public to adopt a bed. For information, please refer to the information poster below. The Foundation will hold a work party on July 5.
On 5/23, 1O volunteers from Surrey Service District of @tzuchicanada participated in annual Breakfast Fundraising Event hosted by Surrey Food Bank (SFB) and presented a $10,000 check to SFB for supporting the Tiny Bundles Program. Tzu Chi volunteers served at SFB since 2003.
Every year, volunteers from Vancouver Service District of @tzuchicanada are invited by Chinatown Business Association to participate annual cleanup event. On 5/24, 22 Tzu Chi volunteers including youths joined this year's event again and showed the support to the community.
On 5/25, 18 Tzu Chi volunteers from Vancouver Service District of @tzuchicanada prepared 229 egg-salad sandwiches and handed out to homeless people staying in Oppenheimer Park in Vancouver. Among them, 8 are under 20 years old. All expressed happiness for serving homeless.

On 12/14, volunteers from Richmond of @tzuchicanada held annual winter gift event at Richmond shelter and handed out gift bags and winter coats. 55 homeless residents at shelter received these gifts. It is the 4th year for @tzuchicanada to cooperate with shelter to run the event
On 11/14, 15 Tzu Chi volunteers from Surrey Service Dist. of @tzuchicanada brough 48 packs of living supplies & coats to Gateway Shelter, known as Front Room, to run annual winter gift event. This marked 23rd year for @tzuchicanada to run the event for homeless people in Surrey.
On 8/20, 12 volunteers from Surrey Service District of @tzuchicanada went to Surrey Food Bank to donate 240lbs of pumpkins, 46lbs of cucumbers, 70lbs of beetroots &18lbs of beans. On 9/4, volunteers made another donation by delivering 350lbs of corns & 100lbs of beetroot to SFB
On 8/27, volunteers of Richmond Service District of @tzuchicanada invited staffs of Richmond Food Bank to Tzu Chi Great Love Garden to receive food donation including 240lbs of pumpkin, 70lbs of corn & 45lbs of bean. Staffs of Food Bank were invited to pick up beans & pumpkins.
On 8/12, volunteers of Vancouver Service District of @tzuchicanada went to YWCA Crabtree Corner to hold a Back to School donation ceremony to hand over 250 backpacks & stationary, in 42 boxes, to Crabtree Corner. A family represented to receive these backpacks.
Sunflower Season at Tzu Chi Great Love will start soon in July.

On June 10th, a teacher from Seymour Elementary School in Vancouver came to head office of @tzuchicanada to receive 111 books donated by @tzuchicanada to support the school's library. The teacher also presented a thank you card made by grade 4 students to volunteers.
7 volunteers from Richmond Service District of @tzuchicanada went to Richmond shelter operated by Salvation Army on 12/20 to hand out 50 bags of essentials to residents in shelter. They also brought 36 scarves, 63 pairs of gloves, 38 pairs of socks, 243 warmers, hygiene products
On Dec. 6th, 7 volunteer from Vancouver Service District of @tzuchicanada brought 196 gift packs in 21 boxes to Phi Bouvier Center for First Nations in Downtown East Side of Vancouver. Inside gift pack, there are winter jacket, gloves, underpants, socks, tooth brush & paste.
@tzuchicanada has been supporting the breakfast program in Stride Avenue Community School in South Burnaby since 2015 school year. Besides donation, Tzu Chi volunteers serve breakfast to the students every Friday morning. On 12/1, a check of $2,500 was presented to the school.
On 9/22, volunteers from Richmond Service District of @tzuchicanada were invited by Richmond Hospital to visit the neonatology center & see demonstration of a new medical equipment, Jaundice Meter. This equipment was purchased by @tzuchicanada's $15000 donation made in Dec, 2022.
