No matter how hard they try to silence this film with controversy and noise, no matter how much they criticize it, give it bad reviews, or keep arguing about it, The Assassin(s) will continue its path to success.
@Mei5149460852 I hope heโs doing okay and that he isnโt alone during these difficult days. I hope he knows that Minoz around the world are always by his side, supporting him. ๐ค
MYM Entertainment has announced that Lee Min-ho will be unable to attend the โActors Houseโ event at BIFF.
We hope everything is okay with him. ๐ค

In the end itโs not about these commissions. Too many political games involved (remember the Oscars?)
In the end itโs all about the people.
And I hope SK people in their majority know better than that and wonโt get intimidated.
Weโre no sheep. Weโre thinking people. Prove it!
@AmNohbdy@ActorLeeMinHo This country never deserved Lee Min-ho anyway. The fact that more prestigious festivals have praised this film shows that they don't deserve such a great actor.
A film & all actors that were praised at #tiff and hailed by the most distinguished film makers and artistsโฆ
A film that is admired by all the right peopleโฆfor all the right reasonsโฆ
It can even be regarded as an honor to be dismissed from #biff for all the wrong reasons!
Iโm so mad and sad really! What kind of international film festival is this?!
Seriously this country doesnโt deserve them one bit. Your own country is your own enemy! What a big joke!
We stand with you & weโre so proud of your bravery @hivemediacorp@ActorLeeMinHo#Assassin(s)
Korean movie critic LeeDongjin has firmly maintained that he has no intention whatsoever of apologizing for or retracting his assessment of the movie โAssassin(s)โ
โIf it is going to be a debate about the movie, I hope it takes place after people have watched the entire movie.โ
He addressed the controversy surrounding his comments about the movieโs ending. He said โA particular part where I said โYou canโt simply dismiss it as just a conspiracy theory,โ has been quoted separately, and controversy has continued over what I intended by that statement.โ
He clarified โI did not mean that every hypothesis presented by the film was true. That statement had absolutely nothing to do with the claim that former President ParkChunghee was behind the shooting of First Lady YukYoungsoo.โ
He further corrected what he described as a distorted understanding of his intentions, saying โIt is my judgment that it would be difficult for audiences watching this movie to come away with the interpretation that โPresident ParkChunghee was behind the assassination of First Lady YukYoungsoo.โโ
In particular, he said โthere is certainly room for discussion about where a fictional movie based on a historical event should draw the line between fact and fiction. Assassin(s) can also be criticized from that perspective and I believe such discussions are necessary.โ
At the time, he gave the film the one-line review โA perspective that densely delves into the flow and gaps within the incident.โ
However, he also criticized the movieโs ending, saying that โthere is an aspect where it goes a little too far.โ
At the same time, by comparing the number of officially documented gunshots in the actual incident with the number of gunshots depicted in the film, he highlighted that โthe way the movie avoids definitively establishing a single conclusion stands out.โ
Through this, he emphasized that although the movie uses a historical event as its subject matter, it places greater weight on fictional elements rather than presenting itself as a definitive reconstruction of historical fact.
