🚨 For the first time, we told a customer:
“We cannot help you.”
His wife had a platelet count of 1.5 lakh and it was falling rapidly.
She had a fever of 103°F.
Doctors suspected dengue and advised hospitalisation.
He had a Star Health policy.
But there was one problem:
Star Health requires prior approval from its doctor team before hospitalisation.**
So we had to tell him:
👉 Contact Star Health’s doctor team
👉 Explain the medical condition
👉 Get their approval
👉 Only then proceed with admission
Honestly,
It was heartbreaking to say this to someone whose wife was sick.
But when you’re dealing with an insurance policy,
you have to follow the insurer’s rules.
Fo any infectuous disease like Dengue Dever and malaria,
You must explain to Star Health why are u getting admitted?,
Only insurer to do this!
But that is how it is with Star!
Abhijit Dipke broke down after being told that the High Command had selected him to start the hunger strike in Wangchuk's absence. Vijeta Dahiya was seen consoling him, saying, "Don't worry, they'll keep bread pakodas, Maggi, vada pav, etc., in the toilet on a regular basis.
He's Tukaram Mundhe, a 2005-batch IAS from Maharashtra.
Over the last few weeks, you might have heard his name. That is because he was recently appointed Commissioner of State’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Since taking charge, the FDA has been on an absolute warpath, raiding illegal, fake, synthetic, and adulterated products. From synthetic milk networks and adulterated paneer to illegal gutkha and unhygienic eateries, nothing has escaped his radar.
Mundhe has made it clear that even the most famous names will not get a free pass. His department shocked Mumbai by suspending the food licenses of iconic establishments, such as the 73-year-old Marine Drive ice cream parlor K. Rustom & Co., alongside famous eateries like Shalimar Hospitality, Noor Mohammadi Hotel, and Rahmaniya Restaurant, after surprise inspections uncovered severe hygiene violations, including live pests and expired ingredients.
Such is the fear of his crackdowns that, just two days ago, dairy farmers were caught on video spilling hundreds of liters of synthetic milk after rumors of an impending FDA raid spread.
This is his 25th transfer in a 21-year career, a testament to his refusal to bend to political pressure. It makes you wonder: if just one IAS officer can bring about so much change, where would our country be if every bureaucrat were as uncompromising and proactive as him?
The comic timing in this scene 🤭🤣
Trivia: The legendary scene where Arshad Warsi parodies Rani Mukerji's "Black" character was completely unscripted.
It was entirely improvised on set between Arshad and Ajay Devgn.
This is not just any other daycare, this was an in-house daycare for a big IT company like @CapgeminiIndia. Why did they not have any checks and balances in place? Are HR departments in big companies only about making gender neutral toilets these days?
I have a cautionary tale for users of @theniyo 's forex card with @DCBBank. I used the card in a tube station (St Paul's) in London to top up my Oyster card. The tap did not work on the machine, it asked me to insert the card and enter the pin. Which I did, the transaction was declined. I then tried the same with my American Express. That too was declined. So I moved to the next machine, and tried the tap on the DCB card, it worked. A few minutes later, I get a message from Niyo congratulating me on activating international ATM transactions. And a few seconds after that, a message saying Rs 64,594 has been withdrawn from my account.
I reached out to Niyo customer support, who basically said I should write to DCB Bank. I did that. The customer support of the bank insisted a fraudulent ATM withdrawal cannot occur if the physical card is with me. They then said they will take three months to investigate this. But now, two weeks later, they have closed the case saying customer is at fault. Their assertion is that either I am lying about not making the transaction or that I have shared my card with someone. Neither is true. Their security systems are at fault, which is why there was no fraud on my Amex, even though the exact sequence of events happened with it.
I will file a cybercrime report when I back in India later this week. But quite disappointed that @theniyo 's and @DCBBank's response has been to wash their hands off the matter and blame the customer.
A man had booked an AC coach ticket almost two months in advance.
When he finally boarded the train and went to his seat, he was shocked to find a woman already sitting there.
"Sorry, this is my seat," he said politely while showing his confirmed ticket.
But the woman refused to move and insisted that the seat belonged to her.
The passenger tried repeatedly to find the TT, but no one came. With no help available, he was forced to spend a large part of the journey sitting near the train door.
After a long wait, the TT finally arrived.
Instead of resolving the issue, he told the passenger, "We can't remove this woman. Just adjust somehow and complete your journey."
At that moment, the passenger realized what might have happened — his seat appeared to have been unofficially sold to someone else.
When he started recording a video of the incident, the TT reportedly became even more arrogant.
"Complain wherever you want," he said. "Even if the RPF comes, they won't remove her. If they can't, what can you do?"
With those words, the TT walked away.
Despite holding a confirmed AC ticket booked months in advance, the passenger allegedly spent the rest of the journey sitting near the restroom, while someone else occupied the seat he had legally paid for.
What do you think about this incident...??
@JioCare Thanks for the reply. If the technician has visited and checked the issue then how long will it take to rectify under the name of technical issue. How about sharing the time period required to restore. Its been more than a week.
@JioCare my jiofibre internet is not working from more than 7 days. Despite complaining by way of service requests through the my jio app about it, there is no resolution on it. Tried reaching customer care but nothing works. The service request number is SR000036EMY3.
I admit, this one made me emotional.
The line - “Nobody teaches you how painful it feels to slowly lose access to someone who once knew your inner life intimately. Someone who understood the silences before your sentences.” Hits very hard.
Amazing article.

This sister has made such a powerful video on what to do if someone blackmails you by leaking private/AI photos & videos online.
This video should go so Viral & Reach every single person. Do the needful folks.

Wow, thin skinned politicians afraid of criticism like @MahuaMoitra@ShashiTharoor and @sagarikaghose have blocked me before, but this is the first time, @Lenskart_com, a publicly listed company has blocked me, and yes, I have been a paying customer several times in the past. Well done @peyushbansal. Clearly shows your company has something to hide when the official handle starts blocking ordinary citizens for merely questioning policy that is in public domain! I take it as a badge of honour though :)
