Last year, a federal civil rights lawsuit was filed against Beaver County, Utah by activists with @DxEverywhere and @UARC who were defending their 1st Am right to speak freely about abuses at @SmithfieldFoods & the then-upcoming #SmithfieldTrial.

Salt Lake has 5 years left. Hay grown for animal feed consumes 68% of irrigation water in Utah, yet yields only .2% of the state’s GDP. The rest of UT residents use only 18% of the water.

The draining of Salt Lake is an act of class warfare.

Did you know in Utah, pigs are deemed "livestock" & EXCLUDED from the definition of "animal" in the state's cruelty to animals law? So the state can't prosecute cruelty to pigs on factory farms, but TY to #SmithfieldTrial we now know it's not a crime to rescue suffering pigs. 🐖
