I serve as Vice President of laboratory investigations cases at PETA. I believe in human dignity, animal rights, & environmental protection. The rest is noise.
Make no mistake: Vivisection is violence and a manifestation of the morally bankrupt notion that might makes right. It's wrong, and no number of advanced degrees will ever make it right.
Poisoning, amputating, drugging, or brain-damaging anyone who is unable to resist and refuses to consent is wrong.
Yet, animals from mice to monkeys are forced to suffer this fate and much worse in labs. #StopAnimalTests
@baltimoresun Approx. 99% of the chickens raised for meat in the U.S. are confined on factory farms, bred to grow so unnaturally fast that many suffer from painful leg disorders & other health issues. Packed by the thousands incrowded sheds, their lives are marked by pain, stress & privation.
@kapsology Are you suggesting the dogs be rounded up and killed? Or rounded up and placed in non-existent shelters for which there is no funding to feed and care for the dogs? We must embrace ABC - animal birth control - to humanely control the population of desi dogs.
@pedestriandaily I've seen how animals are beaten or electrocuted for their skins, so when I see any fur, I see that violence. Slayyyer takes it to the next level of gross, wearing the total bodies of umpteen animals, heads & eyes intact. The photoshoot seems like a desperate bid for attention.
Meet some of the monkeys suffering in a @UMNews lab,
🐒 Everett: Roughly 20 metal screws were drilled into his skull.
🐒 Bilbo: A device drilled into his skull fell off, exposing his brain.
That's just a glimpse 💔 We need to SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN! https://t.co/iOeMAEuFU3
We are saddened to share the passing of Dr. John Pippin, a longtime advocate for animals and member of the Physicians Committee family. His work helped advance more ethical, human-relevant science.

@peta Heartbreaking. I don't understand the lack of empathy/compassion that allows people to pay for such violence just for a fleeting taste. There's so much that we can eat without exploiting animals.
@CBSLosAngeles Harming vulnerable individuals--the elderly, children, animals--is a special kind of evil. The authorities must investigate and throw the book at the people responsible for these horrors.
.@HHSGov is delivering on another @POTUS priority: advancing animal welfare. @NIH is putting $150 million behind human-based research to reduce reliance on animal models.
Thank you @peta for supporting the Trump administration's goal of ending animal cruelty.
Science Advancement and Outreach is a division of women in a larger organization run by women, in a movement primarily led by women.
Yesterday was #InternationalWomensDay, and we’re proud that women are leading the charge toward the future of science, innovation, and animal protection. Particularly in fields where women have been historically underrepresented.
Every day, our team works to advance cutting‑edge, non-animal research; challenge outdated systems; collaborate with scientists, educators, and policy makers; and open doors for modern, humane science.
We are proud to contribute to a movement shaped by feminine vision and female leadership:
♀️ Women who push for progress
♀️ Women who challenge the status quo
♀️ Women who demand evidence-based change
♀️ Women who speak up for the vulnerable
♀️ Women who mentor the next generation of scientists and advocates
To all the women in science, advocacy, and research who are driving meaningful transformation: we’re grateful to work alongside you.
A belated Happy International Women’s Day from the women of @SAOscience 🩵

@ichoosemag It's heartbreaking that humans have bred dogs to have flat faces (and, as a result, impaired breeding). To breed dogs to have a certain appearance when it results in physiological harm is unacceptable.
