Mamani landed in the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for creating the largest work of public art with a mural project covering 108,000 square feet in El Alta, Bolivia. The murals adorn seven 12-story public housing buildings which are comprised of 336 apartments.

Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, in 1962, Mamani never received formal training as an artist. He began drawing with charcoal from the fire where his mother cooked, and growing up, he would draw on whatever he could get his hands on, from old newspapers to pieces of scrap paper.
