JH: I think I came to have that belief because every single moment is so precious and good. I feel that there needs to be sadness for laughter to feel even more overwhelmingly joyful, and that hardships are ultimately the source and starting point of happiness.

GQ: In 2021, GQ's first interview title with j-hope was this: "Even if it's difficult, enjoy it." If we were to update this title to fit the j-hope of today, how would you phrase it?
JH: Hmm...

GQ: How about this? "Because it's difficult, I enjoy it even more."

JH: I like that! If it's easy, it's just easy, and that's it. The thrill of beating a challenge! The sense of accomplishment! Let's go!
