The US white supremacist system relies heavily on Black Americans remaining invested in it & everyone believing exceptional Negroes can also “make it.”

Black “celebrity” is often used to portray an image of racial & social progress in the larger society that isn’t truly there.

I’d feel differently about the hype of this new music stuff if she had said literally anything about The Empire chanting her music as a war cry. It’s too hard to see her and her man as anything less than Black Capitalists, and as such, the new face of an old evil.

Truly depressing to watch the masses (including me) eat up the distractions of entertainment while our brothers and sisters are murdered without consequences. We watched a modern gladiator sport while The Empire blew up starving children.

@christopherXCI_ If we can get sign off fast enough, Armor Wars can lay the groundwork for the Stark Sentinel program, plus Secret Invasion already set the mood of ‘nonhuman’ paranoia that would be ripe for an spotlighting of mutant persecution and distrust. This would be so good.

@ryanarey The execution of that ending undermined everything the show aims for with its ambitious world expansion and character development. I blame the moneymen for not giving it the time and space ($) to be what it deserved.
