“I think if we can even achieve half of these, we’d be making a really positive change in our university," Eshana Bhangu, co-chair of the Student Senate Caucus said.

Thanks to Dr. Ono, Dr. Carry, Chancellor Point & more members of the UBC Leadership who joined the AMS in recognizing students & the Great Trekkers that go above and beyond for students. Huge congrats to @ColeJEvans & team for planning a successful celebration of these champions!
We (AMS) purchased 130,000 more KN-95 masks that just arrived today!!
We've been giving out >10k masks per day, and I am SOOO excited for students to have access to more of these! Please spread the word and grab your pack of 10 from the first floor of the Nest :D
I am delighted to announce that we have purchased 65,000 KN95 masks for members of the UBC community.

UBCV Senate’s Agenda, Budget, and Academic Building Needs Committees, + the Council of Senates Elections Committee now all have Student Senators serving as Chairs - 4 students is a record for committee chairs! Very proud of our Student Senate Caucus @ubcsenate
For UBC Folks- if you know any faculty that have been dedicating their time towards creating Open Educational Resources, please nominate them to be recognized and celebrated at our OER Champions reception!!
All faculty, staff and students on all UBC campuses must now upload proof of their Covid vaccination status. Go to the portal mentioned in today’s broadcast e-mail to complete this step.
We at the Alma Mater Society wonder how one needs a vaccine to go to a wedding with 50 people but not to be in a packed lecture hall with 300 students seated side by side
A letter from the Alma Mater Society in response to the UBC Leadership’s correspondence. @UBC is, undoubtedly, doing the bare minimum when it comes to ensuring the safety and security of the UBC community with the current return to campus plans.
A letter from the Alma Mater Society to @UBC on the return to campus. Does the university simply not care about what students are saying? Or is UBC just incapable of showing the kind of exemplary leadership that they’ve shown in the past & is needed now?
A letter from the @AMS_UBC on mandating vaccinations in student residences. It’s clear that following the bare minimum of PHO guidelines is simply not enough in the eyes of students. We need to take the extra steps in ensuring the safety of members of the @UBC community this fall
The AMS is hiring 3 people for the VP Academic and University Affairs Portfolio! Associate VP Academic Affairs, Associate VP University Affairs, and Campaigns & Outreach Comissioner! If you are interested or know anyone who’d be interested in the roles, please apply!! Links below
Call me sentimental ❤️ but here is a poorly edited photo (by me) of the most amazing group of student advocates I’ve ever met and worked with- going to miss this caucus so much!!!
Congrats to our @ubcosenate student colleagues for their advocacy on this important policy! Now we need a similar policy for UBC-Vancouver students too.
