Rent hikes in crumbling flats, “renovated” with the cheapest materials possible. Our bathroom ceiling was full of mold. The guy sent his retired father to just paint over it. Broken kitchen ventilation since day 1, and we've been cooking with the windows open in -1°C. Pure hate!

i've become more doomer about AI data center growth than anything. not just bc of soaring elec demand but bc, if e.g. ending single-use consumer plastic was already fairly political non-palatable in the US, data center growth is near ubiquitously treated as a foregone conclusion
