On this day in 1975, RTÉ reported that UCDSU was making contraceptives available to students; challenging the law and opening up a national conversation.

We kicked off the 25/26 year of training this evening in @ucddublin! Lots of discussions around student engagement, co-creation and partnership ☺️ Thank you so much to @UCDSU for organising this session!
Caroline Kelly sits down with @UCDSU President, Michael Roche, to discuss the importance of community, the housing crisis, and getting students back to campus
"It’s not uncommon to run into this mindset of NIMBY-ism with student housing projects"

Thinking today, on the tenth anniversary of the Berkeley tragedy, of Aoife Beary, Olivia Burke, Eoghan Culligan, Ashley Donohoe, Lorcán Miller, Niccolai Schuster and Eimear Walsh, and of their family and friends. They will always be remembered as part of the @ucddublin community.

UCD are into the FINAL of the Sigerson Cup after the semi-final vs. TUD went to penalties! A hard-earned win from the lads - the final will take place next week in Co. Mayo.
@TFIupdates@Dermotom Hi, we are still awaiting acknowledgement of our email to the NTA's interim CEO and would be very grateful for a response. We have also emailed @DarraghOBrienTD in the meantime. Heuston is now daily chaos for UCD students and there is a knock on impact for other commuters.
This is not about opposing BusConnects or 24/7 routes, which we fully support. But the removal of this direct link is a material disimprovement, particularly for those commuting to UCD from Kildare, Carlow, Laois, Kilkenny, and beyond.
Thank you to everyone who has signed our petition to save the only direct bus link between Heuston Station and UCD! 🙌 We are close to 3,000 signatures, and it’s clear how valued this link is to both students and staff. 🧵
1) In recent months, we’ve heard from numerous UCD students who rely on the 145 bus route from Heuston Station to Belfield. The upcoming changes under BusConnects Phase 6A will impact not only students but also staff who commute from outside Dublin. 🧵

RTÉ chose to report on the cultural impact of the 46a ending but hasn’t covered the real, practical challenges caused by the loss of the 145 route. The 46a has suitable replacements, while this change leaves many without comparable options. @joeliveline@rtenews
