.@sheggzolu I hope you truly returned this particular 10m naira you were referencing in this video and it wasn't just mouth. Endeavor to pay every other thing you owe, if you have returned the 10m and if you haven't, pay up!!
Adeife is right.
I watched her video, and honestly, I share the same mindset.
Every time you come on social media, especially tiktok ,it is:
“10 things to do to get a man who loves you.”
“Why men hate you.”
“Why men do this.”
“Patriarchy.”
“Why your marriage will fail.”
“Why women should do this or that.”
At some point, what exactly are we gaining from these conversations?
Meanwhile, there are so many women and ideas we could be platforming.
Look at people like Chimamanda Adichie. Talk about government. Talk about policy. Talk about business, education, leadership, technology, entertainment, culture, economics, innovation.
I have deliberately pursued things that expanded my mind and made me stand out.
So I genuinely do not understand why so many women’s conversations online have become narrowed down to patriarchy, men, relationships and marriage.
Yes, society has conditioned women in certain ways.
Yes, patriarchy exists.
But if there are things we cannot immediately change, why not put more energy into the things we CAN change?
Why are we constantly consuming and creating content that does not edify us?
What exactly am I supposed to do with information about how terrible men are, how bad marriage is, or how men supposedly think?
How does that information make me a better woman?
And this is where I agree with Adeife about ambition.
Some of you are ready to bash her because she mentioned that we are not ambitious.
But ambition is not synonymous with making quick money.
Ambition is studying.
Ambition is learning.
Ambition is knowing the people who matter in your industry.
Ambition is understanding your field deeply.
Ambition is knowing the five pillars of the entertainment industry and understanding where you fit.
Ambition is building something meaningful.
Ambition is having a vision beyond “I just want to make money.”
And yes, she mentioned social media management, which is literally my full-time job. But when I watched her video, I did not immediately get defensive because of my profession.
I looked beyond that.
I understood the perspective she was trying to communicate.
That is the problem sometimes.
We hear one thing that touches our pride and immediately start looking for reasons to bash the person instead of asking, “Is there something here I need to learn?”
So, ladies, calm down.
Watch Adeife’s video again.
Listen to what she is actually saying.
Let it sit with you.
It may sting your pride, but swallow it.
And if your FYP is constantly feeding you content about men, patriarchy, bad marriages and relationship wars, maybe it is time to change your FYP.
Platform the right people.
Expand your interests.
Expand your mind.
There is a whole world beyond men.
@RebeccaUdoh2@loveosi Not true,Bella has helped a lot of people on TikTok she bought washing machine for a lady, she has helped several people in need, sorted hospital bills too
Morning @sheggzolu hope your night was just as horrible as you are?? Well, I hope you have the worst of the worst day today!! Until you pay her money you would not find peace of mind! And after the payment you can now start you suicidal journey 🫶🏽
"cease and desist" but the fool has been sending chats through tolani talks and was the first to publicly accuse the other of being unfaithful. Segun, your crying just begun.
I don’t understand those saying the signs were there ,clearly Bella is just stubborn not a bad girl. She hasn’t dated anyone for money and she clearly comes from a very rich home .she isn’t street smart like most of the Lagos girls .she’s actually learning.let give her grace 🙏
