People saying “we should’ve given Iraola the United job instead of Carrick” because of the football his team plays are missing the bigger picture.

We’ve seen this story before.

Graham Potter had Brighton playing some of the best football in the league. Chelsea signed him… everything changed.

Rúben Amorim was flying high at Sporting, won the league, looked untouchable… then came the pressure and chaos of a giant club. Even Ten hag at Ajax before coming to united.

Managing Manchester United is a completely different world from managing a well-structured smaller club.

That doesn’t mean Iraola isn’t talented.

People need to stop acting like only “trendy” names can succeed at United.

Sometimes it’s not about who has the most hype. It’s about who can handle the pressure, rebuild the culture, manage the dressing room and survive the expectations that come with the biggest club in England. And so far Michael Carrick has handled all that well!

Personally, I believe Manchester United can still win major trophies even with Michael Carrick as manager if the structure around him is right. And can be as early as next season🤝
