Centre for African Newborn Health and Nutrition (CANHENT), University College Hospital, Ibadan, was commissioned by the Chief Medical Director of UCH, Professor Temitope Alonge. The centre was built by Dr. Adejumoke Idowu Ayede.

In his Welcome Address at the commissioning, Professor Alonge thanked the donor for providing succour to the disturbing growing population of TB carriers in Nigeria.

He added that 'this Centre would no doubt go a long way in alleviating the many challenges faced by carriers'.

Yesterday, Monday a new modern and more befitting DR-TB Centre was commissioned by the Hospital's Chief Medical Director, Professor Temitope Alonge.

The Centre funded and constructed by Damien Foundation Belgium (DFB) is located in the Hospital's South Campus.

The Hospital's Chief Tony Anenih Geriatric Centre (CTAGC) today opened a Condolence Register for its endower, Chief Tony Anenih CFR, the Iyasele of Frank and who passed on yesterday at 85.

May his soul rest in peace.
