We’re running a study to investigate how Escitalopram (antidepressant) works in anxiety. Understanding how antidepressants work in the brain is key to improving treatment and ensuring more people are able to access an effective treatment more quickly

We need volunteers with either persistent anxiety or no history of mental health problems. The study involves completing simple computer games and a brain scan (MRI) before and after taking Escitalopram (antidepressant) for 14 days, with £50 reimbursement

Antidepressants work for around 50% of people, but we don’t know why they work for some people and not others. We’re running a study to try and understand how Escitalopram works in anxiety so that we can help to improve treatments
