In episode 11 of "Innovation & Impact," Dean Vijay Kumar speaks with Jason Cong of @UCLAengineering about specialized hardware and the role of customizable computing in AI.
Cong notes that those in the AGI sector “care about capabilities, not so much efficiency, where there is actually much to be gained.”
The conversation also explores how these innovations are influencing the speed, cost and accessibility of everyday technologies.
This #EarthDay, discover how @UCLA Samueli faculty are engineering change for a more sustainable future through research that protects the planet — from carbon reduction and clean energy to water purification and waste recycling. @UofCalifornia@UCLAIoES@UCLA_CEE@UCLAMSE
Assoc. Prof. Sam Emaminejad of electrical and computer engineering, led a @UCLA research team that developed a minimally invasive, higher-sensitivity microneedle platform for continuous monitoring of important molecules. https://t.co/kltaGYrCh7
