@drewjay This young Black athlete made a mistake — not a life sentence. He doesn’t need to be crucified by “embarrassed” alumni. He needs guidance, prayer, and community, not condemnation.
And to those acting like his mistake is some moral catastrophe:
Be honest with yourselves.
What has always bothered me about religion is this: when someone makes a mistake, the people who should understand forgiveness the most are often the first to judge. If we claim to follow Christ, then we should show grace the way Christ showed grace to us.
