In @american_heart's Circulation, @uclavir Dr.@JonnyMoriarty & collaborators report primary outcomes from STORM-PE, a RCT of mechanical thrombectomy vs anticoagulation alone for intermediate-high risk pulmonary embolism. Results favor thrombectomy at 48 hours. (Jan 2026)

Dr. Moriarty is also a principal investigator on PERSEVERE trial, an ongoing RCT evaluating large-bore mechanical thrombectomy versus standard of care in acute high-risk pulmonary embolism. Its rationale and design were recently featured in American Heart Journal (Apr 2026). We look forward to the results with great anticipation!
