Last week was all about impact & collaboration! Prof. Joanna Chataway joined the University of Johannesburg as she explored the Water, Energy, and Food Nexus with policymakers & academics through various workshops and public lectures. The brief explores how Local Authorities can mitigate systemic risks and cascading cyber impacts on Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and essential national services.

Exploring the gap between academic impact and policy influence in SDG-related research.
Through analysis of over 20 million research papers, they discovered that traditional academic quality metrics have a limited role in explaining policy impact.
