@DanGiles85@KalshiSports Coach of the year is almost always someone that takes a bad team to the playoffs, at least for the last 10 years or so. Lower expectations to exceed.
@LGarry77@gamedaytrader_@SethDavisHoops I agree with that unless you get drafted by a team like Sacramento that has an atrocious track record with player development.
I have to disagree on practice time. College teams practice more often than NBA teams since they’re only playing 2 games a week.
@JWallrus@SethDavisHoops I’d argue it is. With such a heavy emphasis on recruiting transfers to power conference schools, there are definitely some 3 star and possibly 4 star high school seniors that will sign with a smaller school to get more playing time their freshman year.
@gamedaytrader_@LGarry77@SethDavisHoops Player development is a factor as well. Going in the mid to late 20s could mean you’re spending the bulk of your rookie season in the G League. Instead Mullins will be making just as much $ while working with one of the best coaching staffs in the country.
@D_Wilson1983@TheFieldOf68 If you’re selected in the 1st round and sign your rookie deal you are guaranteed over $5 mil regardless of whether you’re spending the bulk of your time in the NBA or G League. Mullins needs to decide where his development will be handled best next year.
@MarieLizLeBrun@dpshow Of course those mocks don’t mean a whole lot right now. I have to think if he gets a guarantee this year from a team in the top 15, or at least one that he feels is a good fit for his development, he’s staying in the draft.
@MarieLizLeBrun@dpshow Should be a heck of a dialogue between him, his coaches, parents and agent over the next 6 weeks. 2027 mock drafts have the top 5 with NBA comps of Aron Afflalo, Eric Bledsoe etc so looks he likely could definitely play his way into the top ten next year.
@HuskyTurned My guy. Dusty has been at Michigan for exactly one full high school recruiting cycle. The portal was his only option to build a competitive roster and he’s done an incredible job doing it. We are not the good guy. Nobody besides us wants to see a dynasty.
@GmingClipz@Laurie_520@CBB_Central How we doing Laurie? Is barely winning the game that got you to the Final Four then winning the next game better than winning big for four rounds then getting your ass kicked? I think it’s better but thought I’d see what you thought.
@GmingClipz McCollum has been very calculated with his decisions to stay or go over the years. UNC is a great job on paper but assuming Iowa bumps his pay considerably would he leave a Big Ten job in his hometown for a delusional fanbase with insane expectations?
@gellbelly These losers think the more they keep moving the goalposts, the more we’ll want to be granted membership in their club. The last 3 years have really hammered your point home. They know the landscape has changed and all they can do is hold onto the past.
@RachelMHoffer@abigailmarie53 Is there a single Duke fan capable of eating their shit sandwich without trying to make everyone smell their breath? Hands down the most insufferable group of weenies on earth.
@CashCing@ctkevb@ryanhammer09 Take a look at the end of the first round the last few years. With the new CBA, teams drafting in the late 20s/early 30s are looking for a dude with some polish that can be an inexpensive potential rotation guy. Karaban could absolutely go 30th.
@dbr0675own1@darrenrovell Maybe, but they just started a $100 million renovation to Gampel that will include new locker rooms. That wasn’t going to be his locker next year regardless.
