1/6 ⚠️ WARNING to everyone running local AI at home or in the office!
Look at this photo. This dust accumulated in LESS THAN 10 DAYS in an ordinary family apartment (with two small kids 😅).
I deliberately didn’t clean it. I wanted to see what would happen.
Now imagine what’s happening INSIDE your MacBooks, Mac Studios, Mac minis and DGX systems. 😳
Introducing Ploid.
I think the world's data should belong to everyone, so we indexed over 2 billion people globally.
Ploid turns the public web into one profile for every person and company on earth, and serves it to you and your agents for cents.
We're mapping the human economy, and we're live today. https://t.co/7EOLZIm2YW
But the price for 512GB of RAM isn’t actually that high. It’s comparable to server-grade solutions, although technically it’s certainly not the best choice.
Still, there’s definitely a market for machines like this. And it’s no surprise they sold out so quickly at that price! 🚀
I actually expected the price to be a little higher. But I never had the slightest doubt they’d sell out fast. 😄🔥
22299$ That’s really cheap! 😄💸
⏱️ Let’s start the clock and see how fast they sell out!
Just 30 minutes ago, delivery was estimated at 3–4 weeks. Now it’s already 5-6 weeks! 🚀🔥
🍎💣 Mac Studio M5 Ultra with 512GB unified memory is almost here… and I have a feeling this thing will be at least $25,000. 💸😂
Whatever the final price is, I still think Apple will sell out the first wave insanely fast — maybe in a week, maybe in 24 hours. 🚀
Local AI people: this is either a workstation… or a financial event. 🤖🔥

Holy shit. Google's Chrome team says Gemini 4 Carbon performed over 10X better than another lab's large frontier model at generating high-quality security patches.
Google also reports over 2X higher secure-code success than Argon, nearly 80% fewer high-severity misalignment alerts, and ZERO successful attacks on its evaluated prompt-injection benchmark.
And Carbon is beating Claude Opus 5.5 on Artificial Analysis, 59 to 58.
I genuinely cannot wait to try this model. I'm VERY, VERY excited.
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model.
Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching.
We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards.
As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!
