The revised cut-off score was -40 out of 800.
With the updated eligibility criteria, candidates with low scores were able to participate in counselling and obtain PG Medical seats in the competent authority quota
China has planted so many trees around the Taklamakan Desert that it's turned this 'biological void' into a carbon sink, that absorbs more CO2 than it emits
More than 66 billion trees have been planted in northern China to date

An elderly woman in Kozhikode, Kerala, bravely stopped a scooty rider from misusing the footpath and sent him back to the road.
Her civic sense and determination truly deserve appreciation.
@HYDTP@CYBTRAFFIC@SajjanarVC@TelanganaDGP sir please conduct such a drive within the city once. Bikes, autos, cars, cargo autos are primarily using these after market white LEDs and they keep on driving with High Beam on within the city. HELP. Thank You.
White LED modified headlights are not “cool”, they are dangerous.
These high-intensity beams blind oncoming drivers for a few critical seconds. At highway speeds, even 2–3 seconds of glare can mean a fatal crash. Two-wheelers, elderly drivers and pedestrians are at highest risk.
This is not styling, it’s a safety hazard.
Government must ban such illegal modified lights across India before more lives are lost.
@NalinisKitchen The 260 crore is after conversation before taxes. Initially the 111 million in as asked and the city of Seattle settled for 29 million USD.
Is common sense banned in this country?
A cleaner is seen throwing garbage onto the railway tracks from a moving train. Does he not realise this makes the entire surroundings filthy?
What do Railway SOPs say about waste disposal? Are contractors allowed to dump trash like this?
Why aren’t such contractors terminated immediately? Clean India cannot just be a slogan.
Arrogance is believing we can endlessly take without giving back. Arrogance is thinking technological cleverness will always save us from ecological collapse. Arrogance is assuming nature is a foe to be battled, rather than the very system that gives us life.
@TataCLiQCare Your shit courier Xpressbees not delivering my order, it is in Hyd from 3 days. Your customer support is clueless - Order: 141922926 | Courier: XpressBees | AWB No: 14136851395464.
@jveerendra Thank you for sharing this. Awesome photos. Thanks a ton for making people realise that one doesn't need to go to any mountains and particularly Leh Ladakh to take such photos. Our own coast is no less a paradise than those cold deserts. GOD bless
In India, a woman tricked police and civic teams into cleaning an open drain for three hours by falsely claiming someone had fallen into it.
A woman in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, reported to police that someone had fallen into an open drain, prompting a three-hour rescue operation by police and municipal teams. Heavy machinery was used to search and clean the clogged drain thoroughly, but no person was found inside.
Preliminary investigations indicate the false report was made to force authorities to clean the neglected drain. Officials are reviewing the case for potential action against wasting public resources and misleading emergency services.
This is not an ordinary factory. Set amid the forests of the Nilgiris, the briquetting unit at Masinagudi in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve is quietly turning a global ecological problem into a local climate solution. Lantana camara, one of the world’s most aggressive invasive weeds, choking forests across India and Tamil Nadu is being systematically removed and transformed into clean, eco-friendly fuel briquettes. Under a sustained restoration effort, nearly 125 hectares of Lantana are cleared every month, restoring wildlife habitats. What makes this initiative truly special is its complete circularity. Lantana is removed from deep forest areas with the active participation of local Tribal communities, transported to the briquetting unit, and processed again by Tribal workers into binder-free fuel briquettes using only pressure and heat. These briquettes are then supplied to nearby tea factories, replacing wood burning with forest waste turned resource. This single unit bridges conservation, livelihoods, clean energy, and industry showing how the Tamil Nadu Forest Department is converting invasive biomass into ecological restoration, dignified employment, and a working model of circular economy in action #TNForest #ecosystemrestoration #invasives @tnforestdept@IUCN@UNEP@WWFINDIA video @supriyasahuias
