Following his father’s dream for him to become an engineer, Deepak gave a number of interviews on completion of his B. Tech degree. After many unsuccessful attempts, he enrolled at UDAY’s Telecom Training Centre and underwent the training for drive test engineer.

Gurpreet belongs to a poor family with his father being the only wage earner in a family of 6. Since the financial burden made it difficult to meet the needs of the family, Gurpreet was forced to quit studies after his 10th grade and instead work with his father.

Our business plan is directed towards these impacts and the inclusion of the #SDGs into our goals. We are advancing towards these SDGs and aim to further align with them as our impact grows!

With a mere family income of USD 1,000 yearly which comes from seasonal farming and uncertain work, Jyoti knew that she has to have a formal education to get a decent job.
