5) I believe prolonged shame is useless.
If you did something wrong, admit it. Apologise, repair what you can. Learn from it and change your
behaviour. But sitting inside shame forever does not help the person you hurt.
Non-Nigerians can never understand some of the things we say , our slangs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Imagine explaining to someone that “let me hear word please” means “ I don’t want to hear any words” lmao
There is absolutely NO aspect of church leadership and ministry work that is exclusive to men. Not starting a ministry, not leading it, not teaching and discipleship, not working of miracles, nothing. There is nothing God anoints a man to do in ministry that he hasn’t, doesn’t and can’t anoint a woman to do. God’s anointing and calling IS NOT by gender.
Dear women, please, teach the Full Gospel. There is much more to you than “wives and children ministry”. You are called and anointed by God! Disciple nations! work miracles! Do ALL that God has placed in your hands to do. Don’t let a culture tainted by misogyny dictate the expression of God’s abilities in you. Do it ALL!
JUST WONDERING HOW MOMS are supposed to work 9-5, drop the kids off at school at 8 AM, pick them up by 3 PM, stay on top of school activities, meal prep, cook dinner, keep the house clean, do the laundry, run the kids to extracurricular activities, climb the corporate ladder, save sick days for when the kids are sick, be a good friend, daughter, and partner, all while trying to take care of their own body and mental health…
Jesus is THE Solid Rock. He’s the sure foundation. He’s both the architect and chief cornerstone. When He’s your foundation, no matter the storms of life, you won’t sink. Come to Jesus today. He loves you deeply. Give him your heart today. Make Him your Lord and Rock❤️🥺.
Almost every woman I know personally has been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives. You can't think it's okay to shut people up from speaking up about assault because some people lie. If you lie, you should face consequences - but that's not the conversation I'm having. Nor is it one I'm interested in having. How many of your male friends have they lied against? How many of your friends have actually assaulted women as vibes?? Women are terrified to go out. Women in their homes are not safe either. Ask your sisters. Ask your female friends and your girlfriends. Ask your wives. We're not all crazy. STOP RAPING WOMEN!!
You see how people who are shouting against Misandry are quiet about Rape?
We see the consistent wickedness of men against women in our environment but hey, let us keep arguing about “feminism being anti-christ.
When misogyny and the erasure of women is normalised, feminism is seen as offensive. May God give us all wisdom.
There is a reason I excuse myself from these twitter arguments or choose to speak on them much later after both sides have calmed down.
The truth is this—Evil against women BY MEN has been normalised in our society. It’s so casual that it is joked about. We see it in families, the environment, the CHURCH (which annoys me the most), and in governance.
We were all here when we Akpabio, the shameless and dim-witted Senate President made silly remarks and disrespected his colleague, Senator Natasha and nothing was done about it.
You wonder why everything looks like a gender war, it’s because women are having to fight to simply exist in this world. Everyday is a struggle to live and breathe. Many have altered their lives just to cope. It’s sad! It’s painful! It ought not to be!
On this one, Kunle is who he says he is and more! When it comes to music, leave it alone. He may not remember this but he taught me how to score songs and opened my life to the world of music at 15. At that time, I just knew how to sing. And he did this in a day!
Yeah, I don’t talk enough of how much of a FREAKING genius I am with this music thing. Listen, I’ve taught kids with Down syndrome how to sing on key and they sang in my choir. My former teenagers who are now in their 20s are all on this app. They’ll testify and call me a liar if I’m lying.
By the way, the woman has started hitting notes. I am Kunle Kenny!
I love how people are fact-checking this claim with actual stories in the comments. Someone outside the UK would think we're all full of vile and distrust by reading the thread alone. Saying it's his opinion doesn't even help. Not after sewing this long thread
Since I came to the UK, I have not seen any two Nigerians who came here as single people, met each other here, fell in love, and ended up married.
I am not talking about couples who came from Nigeria together. I mean single people who actually met here in the UK.
And I am not talking about the whole country. I am only speaking from my own personal experience.
Back home in Nigeria, you see people getting married almost every weekend. Two single people meet, they like each other, and before you know it they are planning a wedding.
But here in the UK, it is not the same story.
People do not trust each other. Everybody is looking over their shoulder.
Most people send CVs.
He sent a documentary.
Last year, a guy applied for a Motion Design role at Hey Digital.
After he got hired, everyone at the company, including the founder couldn’t stop talking about him on LinkedIn.
His application went viral because of how he applied.
Instead of sending a CV, or a cold email like everyone else,
he created a 4-minute video documentary about himself.
It wasn’t fancy.
It was just creative, and it worked.
The video is in the comment section.
If you had the chance,
would you do something similar?
