Houston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. on what this young core learned having to play without Kevin Durant this playoff series: "I think playing without him just showed me how much we need to work on as far as just being able to do more. Everybody say they want more. More of an offensive role. More shots. More touches. But don't know what come with it.
"To be able to play against all types of defenses and adjust on the fly is something that is a skill. Something that I've got to get better at."
Very mature outlook from the 22-year-old Smith on the reality of the responsibility that needs to come with guys wanting bigger roles.
