@Wivani_@NativeWired Definitely!
But the first step is to create an awareness about this feeling. Sharing emotions like these may already bring change. Somebody told me, only knowing that other people have this similar feeling and you are not alone in this, helps!
I came across a tweet from Gitte @NativeWired in which she mentioned how she was having a bad day and was doubting her ownself, her value. I felt like giving a tight hug to her. This is impostor syndrome and we all feel it.. It is a common feeling. Be open about it.
Gitte I first met you in 2017. You gave me a hug then and motivated me a lot. I am giving you a big, warm virtual hug now. You are an inspiration. Keep up the good work that you are doing.. Loads of love. Hope to see you soon. :)
Having a shitty day internally. Doubting my professional self (do I even help anyone), my speaker self (I say nothing important - anyone could say this) - feeling like I can’t provide value... That I should not organize stuff...
Not to mention all the non-work personal stuff.
And I am so honored to talk about it again and spread some awareness through my talk @AgileTDUSA.. #impostersyndrome#harrypottersyndrome. You are right @smitapmishra it helps a lot to talk to somebody at your lows who can motivate, guide or coach you.. :)
@paulcul@katherinewu This is the most dragging feeling. I never understood Impostor Syndrome until I heard @uditas13 talk about it. I definitely suggest you to talk to her. Also, in times like these, a coach/mentor is good to connect with to strengthen your self- beliefs. I can suggest a few.
Why let the users suffer when they interact with an application!! I wish to have a superpower, an eye to catch such bloopers. If you wish the same, join me!!
Don't miss @AgileTDUSA and who does not like a discount code!! ;)
I am so happy that you feel empowered :).. and so proud of you that you talk about.. let us keep it up.. share your experience @AgileTD participants and show others that they are not alone if they have this feeling like Harry Potter (Imposter syndrome).
Imposter (Potter) syndrom for the win: I don´t consider myself a good programmer, but here I am: Refactoring the code of a junior, and I can explain why every single change is a good idea... Seems like I picked up some bits and pieces along my way... 😎😊💪 /cc @uditas13
For all my friends who understand Hindi ;)
This video is about, who is a true gentleman? There is a stereotype of how a man should be. He should be the bread earner, he should be the knight and shining armor and that he never cries!! They are and could be a lot more than that. :)
Truly awesome speech on levels of API test automation yesterday by @shakes_test at #AgileTD !
Would love to hear more details about specifying hundreds of microservice-APIs! Maybe there will be time for it over a coffee today? Who knows? Anything can happen at Agile Testing Days!
