India's voter list now has an ON/OFF switch. And it sits in Delhi, not in your state.
โ ECINet is ECI's one portal for everything: voter list, SIR forms, officer logins.
โ An audit of its code by an IIT Delhi-IIM Calcutta data scientist found a built-in "disable" button for every State Nodal Officer.
โ The pop-up literally says: "the user will no longer be able to access the application."
โ Viewing voters' SIR forms can be switched on or off, state by state.
โ The code even has a ready message: "not enabled for selected State".
โ And in West Bengal alone, the officers responsible for the voter list are blocked from these forms.
And the joke doesn't end there.
โ How did the audit find all this? Not by hacking.
โ ECINet's login page loads a big code file before anyone even logs in.
โ Menu names, screens and API paths meant only for officials are sitting in it, readable by anyone.
โ The platform guarding almost 100 crore voters' data can't even hide its own officials-only menu.
Now the bigger shock.
This warning didn't come only from outside. It came from inside ECI.
โ Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi wrote against the "gradual centralisation of the electoral roll database".
โ Sandhu wrote that he came to know about new ECINet modules "from media only".
โ Joshi asked for an outside IIT expert to audit who can change the voter database.
โ Finally, the two ECs wrote to the Cabinet Secretary.
Now connect the dots.
By law, the ERO in your area decides whose name stays on the voter list.
On ECINet, what the ERO can actually do is decided by the IT team in Delhi.
Law says decentralised. Software says one switch.
Bro, imagine.
Your society has a watchman, but the main gate lock is controlled by someone sitting in another city.
He can lock any building he wants, anytime.
And when two other committee members ask "who has the key?", nobody answers.
That's not digital transformation.
That's a remote control on democracy.
Gyanesh , if two of your own Commissioners couldn't get answers, how will the voter?
Modi, who holds the switch, and whom does he report to? ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
This is for those who are upset why CJI has refused to meet the opposition delegation on 'Vote Chori'. Listen to Kapil Sibal on 'propriety' and 'separation of power' and then you be the judge!

Now men will worship a goddess for nine days, burn ravan for abducting a woman and then go right back to harassing women for the other 356 days. Quite a performance
In drunkest day,
Till I black out at night,
No liquor shall escape my sight,
Let those who worship the sober life,
Beware my power, Jagermeisters might!
"Tired of going to the Supreme Court again and again, I don't feel there is any use of going to the Supreme Court, I have lost trust,"- Sr Adv Kapil Sibal.
"We go to the Court, but I don't know if we will get any relief. The people of the country feel that this Government should go. If anybody can save the Constitution in these times, it is the Supreme Court of India. But I am tired of keeping on going to the Supreme Court. I am speaking for myself. I don't think there is any use of going there. I don't have much trust in the Supreme Court of India. Whatever has to happen, will happen."
"We told the Supreme Court many times that the voters' names are being wrongly deleted and wrongly included, we argued for months. The evidence is before the public. And the appellate tribunals now say 93% of the voters were wrongly removed. So the Supreme Court must have known. But no relief was given. So I am speaking for myslef, I don't have [faith]" - @KapilSibal says.
@Oceaniic33 In such cases just thinking out loud doesn't mean to make any suggestions here but just wondering, if she were to kill some official responsible for this then would she be charged cause I don't if our constitution prosecutes dead people or not?
