Congrats to Chris Zupito on winning the “Cakey” Dougherty/ “Jumbo” Faulkner Award at the 2023 Barrett All Star Game. He received the award for his efforts this season at Upper Darby as an Outstanding High School Delco Pitcher!

Congrats to Brian Fitzpatrick, Drew Kessler, and Chris Zupito on representing Upper Darby while playing for the Central League at the Barrett All Star Game yesterday. The game took place at Neumann University.

He helped lead the team as a 2-year captain to their first playoff appearance since 2010 and first playoff win since 1998! Chris also finishes his 3 year high school career with a crazy 240 strikeouts!

Chris finished the season leading the league in strikeouts for the second year in a row.

Chris had 46.2 innings pitched, a 5-1 record, 81 strikeouts, a 0.60 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and a .100 batting average against. Chris also mixed in a complete game no-hitter, and a complete game win with 18 strikeouts in the first round of the district playoffs.

Brian played 3 different positions all season between catching, first base and outfield; he was in the outfield the majority of the time. Brian was also a captain and helped lead the team to their first playoff appearance since 2010 and first playoff win since 1998!

Brian finished the season with a Central League leading .458 batting average.
