Your brain is your biggest enemy at its default. It wants you to have an easygoing, happy-go-lucky life. It is your responsibility to rewire it to achieve your dreams. And that is very much possible.
It is easy to forget how blessed we are. To wake up, to eat well, to move our bodies, to care for others. Even the tired moments mean we are alive. Gratitude is found in the ordinary, and that is what makes life beautiful
Appreciate the people in your life while they’re still here. Tell them you love them, make time for them, take the pictures, answer the calls, and don’t let pride or busy days convince you that there will always be another chance. We get so used to having certain people around that we forget their presence is a gift, not a guarantee. One day, you may wish you could have one more conversation, one more laugh, one more ordinary day together. Love people loudly while you still can.
I'm approaching 30 and the pressure ain't even about competing with people anymore. It's about knowing my parents are getting older, time ain't slowing down, and I still got dreams I'm praying I get to live out. That shit keeps me up at night.
One of the things I love most about life is that you can always start again. You can leave a life you once thought you’d have forever, choose a different path, meet new people, discover new parts of yourself and become someone you never imagined you’d be. I find so much comfort in knowing that one wrong decision, one failed relationship or one difficult chapter doesn’t have to define the rest of your life. There is always another beginning waiting for you
It's strange how we spend so much of our lives waiting. Waiting to graduate, to make money, to fall in love, to become successful, to finally feel ready. Then one day, you look back and realize that while you were waiting for life to begin, life was happening the entire time.
I wanna make my parents proud while they’re still here to see it. I wanna give them things they never had to ask for, take some weight off their shoulders, and watch them enjoy the life they spent years trying to give me. That shit means more to me than people know.
Don’t leave everything for later. Later, the coffee gets cold. Later, you lose interest. Later, the day turns into night. Later, people grow up. Later, people grow old. Later, life moves on. We convince ourselves there will always be another day to say what we mean, call someone we miss, take the trip, start the dream, apologise or finally do the thing we’ve been putting off. But sometimes, later never comes. One of the hardest things to live with is realising you had the chance, you just kept assuming you’d have more time. Don’t keep postponing the life you want to live. Say it. Do it. Go. Love. Start. While you still have the chance.
Be patient with yourself. You don't have to feel better by tomorrow or have all the answers today. Take things one day at a time. You will find your feet, and life will feel good again.
i hate the weird emotions that come with afternoon naps. sometimes i wake up anxious, sometimes unbearably nostalgic and sometimes just sad or hopeless. what's the point of holding it all together until noon if it's just going to spill all over the place the moment i wake up
