My current theory of submissive men:

There is ample evidence that is correlative between high status men and craving a dominant partner. The most prevailing theory I’ve heard is that their lives are rather stressful, and it’s a nice “escape” to submit and just give up control as a means of stress relief.

I disagree with this theory. I believe men that are submissive are submissive at their core, and that actually their accolades are a way of trying to reconcile the juxtaposition of who they truly are (submissive men meant to be helplessly controlled) and who they think they should be. They become successful as a futile attempt to convince themselves that they’re normal, but I know you’re not, beta. And you will never be, nor meant to be:
