Speaking on the theme “African Reality: Building a Strong Engineering Pipeline from the Basic Level to Career”, Prof. Kaufmann stressed the urgent need for investment in nurturing engineers from early childhood through practical, hands-on learning and industry partnerships.
The session was supported by a team from Dext Technology including Dorcas Seyram Abotsi, Samuel Asamoah, Felix Segbefia, and Gideon Lawer. The organising team was led by Dr. Comfort Mintah (University of Waterloo) and Dr. Angela Tabiri of AIMS Ghana.

The Elsie Effah Kaufmann Foundation, in collaboration with the School of Engineering Sciences, participated in the Helping Teachers Teach Mathematics Conference organised by the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) and the University of Waterloo.
The Dean, Ing. Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann, led a highly interactive hands-on session where mathematics teachers built models using the Dext Science Kit to deliver mathematical concepts in a practical and engaging manner.
