When @Starlink helped rescuers find four miners trapped for three freezing nights in the Andes.
Four men were rescued in Catamarca, Argentina, roughly 4,500 metres above sea level. Heavy snow had almost buried their vehicle.
Local mining union leader Gustavo Molina credited Starlink communications with helping locate them. He said finding the workers without that connection would have been almost impossible in the near-zero visibility.
Firefighters also described using Starlink to guide their vehicles through the snowstorm during the rescue operation.
All four survived and were taken to hospital with hypothermia. They were reported stable afterward.
Starlink helped provide a vital connection when lives were at risk.
This life-saving technology should be available in every part of the world.
